JACKSON STAFF JOIN IN THE FESTIVE FUN
3rd December 2007
Its ho ho ho all the way for staff at Jackson Building Centres in Lincoln, as they prepare to join in The Lincolnshire Co-operative Great Lincoln Santa Fun Run and Walk 07.
The annual Santa Fun Run, organised by The Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, takes place on Sunday 16th December 2007 at 11.30am in Castle Square, Lincoln, in aid of the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance & St Barnabas Hospice.
It is the second year that staff at the builders’ merchant has entered the fun run, and this year, several budding Santas from Jackson’s branches throughout the East Midlands and Yorkshire are taking part.
Colin Bartleet Marketing Manager at Jackson said: “Jackson is a very keen supporter of the local community and is always pleased to be involved with fundraising activities whenever possible.
“The Santa run is always really good fun and it’s a really nice way for staff at Jackson’s branches to get together and to join in the festive spirit, whilst at the same time helping to raise money for these two deserving charities.
I think the staff taking part are already enjoying a bit of competitive banter about who will beat their personal best finishing times, all be it dressed as Santas!”
A dedicated member of ‘Business in the Community’ Jackson Building Centres is regularly involved with supporting local events and organisations. The company is now in it’s sixth year of sponsorship with the Lincoln 10K run, sponsor of the 52nd Grand Prix Cycle Race, and both Lincoln City Football Club, and Lincoln United Football Club, have also benefited from the support provided by the company.
