JACKSON’S SPICE UP KITCHEN IN INDIA

Jackson Building Centres recently spiced up a kitchen in India with a fresh, clean and contemporary design.
The kitchen design was commissioned by Dr & Mrs Bali of Lincoln, who had recently had their kitchen, at their home in Lincoln, designed by Jackson’s. When the couple decided to invest in a property in India, they immediately commissioned Jackson’s to design the kitchen for their new home.
Mrs Bali commented: “We were so delighted with our kitchen in our UK home, that we were certain that we wanted Jackson’s to design our kitchen in our second home”.
The designer commissioned to undertake the project, was Dawn Owen, kitchen designer at the Lincoln-based branch, who originally designed the Bali’s kitchen in their Lincoln home. Dawn joined Jackson’s 18 years ago and has a wealth of design and customer service experience, having previously worked in the bathroom design and sales showroom at the Lincoln branch and prior to that, managing the kitchen, bathroom and tile department at the Gainsborough branch.
Dawn commented: “When Dr & Mrs Bali approached me to design the kitchen in India, I was absolutely thrilled. I love my job and being a wife and mother, it helps to understand what most people would want from a dream kitchen. I worked very closely with the Balis on the design, to ensure that I created the exact look that they wanted to achieve”.
Because the house was being built in India, Dawn had to work extremely closely with the Architect’s plans, to ensure that every detail and measurement were absolutely accurate.
When asked what inspired her designs, Dawn commented, “I wanted to create a stylish and contemporary feel, which could be enhanced with the use of warm colours and materials. The Balis wanted a kitchen that would be modern and stylish in design, whilst at the same, having lots of practical work space.”
The kitchen has now been completed and Dr & Mrs Bali are extremely satisfied with the finished product, Mrs Bali said “I am absolutely delighted with the kitchen, it is exactly what we had hoped for, I can’t wait to put it to good use.”
