Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment

At Jacksons Building Centres we offer our retail customers the opportunity to return electrical appliances to our branches to be recycled, when purchasing a like for like appliance. Customers can bring their old appliance into the branch where they purchased the old appliance up to 28 days after purchasing the new one.

We offer this service in accordance with the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Regulations 2006 and in accordance with our Environmental Policy. Waste electrical equipment can have a detrimental affect on the environment if disposed of incorrectly due to the hazardous components that may be contained within them. Where you see a crossed out wheelie bin motif on an appliance or its packaging, it should not go into a wheelie bin, but should be recycled.
